Bowling Commitment

INDIANAPOLIS – Marian University head men’s bowling coach Chad Hardin is proud to announce the second commitment to the third season of men’s bowling.
Diante Fields, along with two other student-athletes, committed to the Knights for 2012-13.
“This is a great day for Marian University bowling,” said Hardin of the commitment of Hattori, Fields and Ventillo. “These three have known each other for a long time and it’s exciting to have them be able to compete together. I am excited to be able to work with them throughout their collegiate careers and I’m happy they will be competing in a Marian University uniform.”
Fields, who will graduate from Kingsway Regional High School this spring, was the New Jersey State High School Bowler of the Year after earning the 2012 individual state championship. He was also named all-state first team as a senior and is a six-time JBT champion.
At the 2011 USBC Junior Gold Championships, Fields finished 19th out of 1,070 bowlers. He also finished ninth out of 360 at the 2011 North Pointe Tournament. He was the 2011 Super Match Game champion after he defeated fellow commit Ryan Ventillo. He was the 2009 and 2010 Pepsi Delaware State Champion and was named the Bowler’s Journal Top 100 High School Prospects in both 2010 and 2011.
He has a career high game of 300 and has  high series of 812. His high average is 235.
Fields, along with Zack Hattori and Ryan Ventillo, committed to the Knights on Friday afternoon for the 2012-13 season.
