Ryan was Captain of the Kingsway Varsity Baseball team, voted Most Valuable Player, received the Coaches Award and led his team to win the Tri-County Royal Division Championship in 2002. After graduating from Felician College with his masters, Ryan enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Cobra helicopter pilot with the Marine Light Attack Squadron 269, Air Group 29, 2nd Marine Air Wing and II Marine Expeditionary Force. Ryan tragically and prematurely lost his life while completing combat missions in Afghanistan on September 28, 2011.

On May 18, 2012 at 3:30 PM, a special ceremony was held prior to the Kingsway/Williamstown baseball game. Family, friends and community gathered as the varsity baseball field was officially named in his honor and the new scoreboard was revealed.

CONGRATULATIONS… to the Girls Lacrosse team defeated Sterling in their Senior game yesterday 19-13. Jordan Federico led the attack with 8 goals and Paige Helm followed with 7! Cait Collins, Morgan Ivans, Alexa McIntyre, and Jackie Neary each added 1. Shana Fogelman, Rachel Trainer, and Danielle Higgins controlled the defensive ebd and Erin Horner recorded 16 saves in goal. CONGRATULATIONS… to the Boys Lacrosse team for their 19-6 win over Clearview Monday night at Pioneer stadium. The Dragons were led by
Kyle McLaughlin and Tim Kemner who combined for 10 goals. Gino Frederico, Ryan Davidson, Jamar Hall, Dom Lombardi, and Sean Smith also scored for the dragons as well as Mark St. Pierre with 3 goals and 3 assists on the night.
A stellar defensive effort was led by Bryan Morrow, Chris Morris,
Anthony Cacciavillano, Dylan Lauser and Frank Cifone; Conor Beers stopped 12 shots to pick up the team’s13th win on the season.
The boys will host Scotch Plains -Fanwood on Saturday in Dragon Stadium in the first round of the NJSIAA playoffs.
